The LCoNZ Office

• Works with Datcom and ExLibris to manage and monitor the services they are contracted to provide to LCoNZ library members

• Works with LCoNZ senior managers to develop and agree plans and priorities for the strategic development of library systems and services to library members

• Works with University Librarians to promote innovation and lead development of new services

• Works with the LCoNZ operations managers to manage operations and development of systems and services

• Manages the company

• Provides administrative and secretarial support for LCoNZ activities

Jean Ballantyne, General Manager

		Jean took up the position of General Manager in September 2006. She has had many years experience in the library and information sector specialising in providing information services in large, geographically dispersed organisations. She was previously Information Services Manager for Inland Revenue, responsible for library, internet and intranet, information management and editorial services.  Prior to this she carried out a similar role for Specialist Education Services. In addition, she has provided information management consultancy services, primarily in the government sector. Jean has a BA and DipLibr.

Alex Hall, Office Coordinator

Alex was appointed to the position of LCoNZ Office Coordinator in November 2009. She is responsible for meetings, projects and accounts coordination as well as maintaining and updating the LCoNZ wiki workspace and website. Alex's previous experience was in the private sector in Wellington in a variety of administrative positions.
